Nutritional benefits of Ontario lamb
Lamb is a good source of:
  • Protein
  • Selenium
  • Vitamin B12
  • Niacin
  • Zinc
  • Phosphorus.

Meat products, like lamb, are a good source of vitamin B12. This vitamin supports production of red blood cells and prevents anemia, allows nerve cells to develop properly, and helps your cells metabolize protein, carbohydrate, and fat.

Here are some ways you may wish to cook your lamb.

Whole Leg roast:  Roast in the oven seasoned with rosemary, oregano and garlic.

Rack of Lamb:  Roast in the oven.

Ground lamb (Mince) : Season and use for burgers or in any dishes that you would use ground beef.  It is great in spaghetti sauce!

Lamb loin:  These tender loin chops are great cooked on the barbeque.  These are very tender and delicious.

Lamb roasts:  Cook in the oven as you would cook roast beef.

Kabobs:  Place bite size pieces of lamb on a skewer with your favorite grilling vegetables and make lamb shish kebobs.
